To share a homecooked meal with people you consider part of your extended family,  be welcomed and accepted with open arms by residents, staff, and alumni alike is an indescribable feeling. Sharing my experience, strength and hope with other residents new in sobriety, and having that “base” to call a second home, is a huge part of my sobriety today.”

After Care Services

Addiction treatment studies have shown a correlation between longer term drug and alcohol counseling and successful outcomes for the client (long term sobriety).

South Coast Counseling offers After Care Services for its alumni clients for periods of 3 months to 3 years in length. After Care services include group requirements including:

• weekly attendance to the resident and alumni family style dinners and in-house 12 step meeting (in our Costa Mesa facility)
• weekly attendance to Plumer Street’s “home group” men and women’s step study meetings
• individual counseling sessions with South Coast Counseling’s certified counselors

Residents complete a comprehensive recovery skillsand relapse prevention plan prior to completing their residential program, and alumni participating in After Care regularly review their progress and set new goals in their long term recovery.
